The International Council of Nurses, a a federation of more than 130 national nurses associations, has released the Closing the gap:Increasing Access and Equity toolkit. The document looks at gaps in the health status and life expectancy between different populations. It also looks at the importance of the social determinants of health and the role nurses have in addressing these, improving access and ensuring equity in the care provided.
