Author: dunawaya

MOHEC has just announced a new community meeting for the Kansas City region. Join MOHEC on December 7th for “Building Health Equity in the Kansas City Region,” at the Kauffman Conference Center in Kansas City.  Sharing the results from its 2011 research project with newcomer populations, the MOHEC team and featured speakers will share and discuss its findings on the social determinants impacting the health of newcomer populations in the Kansas City region.  Participants will gain a better understanding of the perceptions about access to health care, quality of health care received, what are the needs of  the newcomer patient community, the services being provided and what are the gaps in care.

I am very interested in the upcoming conference, and would like to become involved with this initiative. I worked with you several years ago when I worked with American Indian Council here in KCMO. I have worked with the Native American tribes in Kansas, and the urban NA population in Missouri. I look forward to hearing from you – thank you.
